Alhaq Logo Al Haq Center for Applied International Law is pleased to announce its 6th semi-annual International Law Orientation Course for employees of international organizations and diplomatic staff.

The orientation course will be held at the Al Haq Center for Applied International Law in Ramallah, on 20–22 November 2017 and will include presentations by legal professionals and discussions on key legal issues in the Occupied Palestinian Territory (OPT). Moreover, the course will include one field visit to Hebron providing everyone with the opportunity to see the on-the-ground reality of the occupation.

The objective of the Orientation Course is to help non-legal professionals develop a basic understanding of the human rights situation in the OPT.

Al-Haq is an independent Palestinian non-governmental human rights organization based in Ramallah, West Bank. Established in 1979 to protect and promote human rights and the rule of law in the OPT.

The orientation course is open to employees of international organizations and diplomatic staff operating in the OPT and Israel. Participants do not need to have prior knowledge in international law or international human rights law.

The orientation course is free of charge. Registration will close once the course is full. Applicants will be contacted when the selection process is finalized. Please note that participants agree to attend all three days of the course.

The course will be conducted in English.
